CHARACTER EDUCATION

Character Education, at Villa Real School, aims to develop the whole person.  It points pupils towards the future, preparing them to meet the demands of everyday life, to make the most of every opportunity and to flourish.  At Villa Real School we want to make sure that we do everything possible to equip our pupils and students with the skills necessary for success.

Character Education aims to develop all pupils and students – what they believe in, how they act with others and on their own, their values and their virtues.  It aims to help pupils ask the question what type of character do I have?  Am I a leader?  Am I a team player?  Do I have grit and resilience?  Am I a positive person?  Am I a negative influence?  Do I use my initiative?  Or do I leave it up to someone else?  Having a strong character, and knowing your character is the passport to a successful future.

Character Education is taught across and throughout every subject in the curriculum.  The main attributes it encourages are:
